• Retreat Programming

Morgan returned home with a renewed faith and Christian experience. Shes been almost mournful over her Glisson family and missing them. Again, Camp Glisson was a wonderful experience for her.

    Retreat Programming

What is there to do at Camp Glisson?  There's more to retreats than lodging, meals, and meeting space; a group needs to do things together to truly grow together.  At Glisson, we offer a wide variety of retreat programming for your group to experience.  Take a look at the following events to see what programming could enhance your upcoming retreat.

    Staffed Programming:

    • Challenge Course
    • Swimming Center
      • Diving board, slide, solar heated, open to retreat groups from April-May and August-October
      • Swimming sessions include certified Glisson lifeguards
    • Archery Course
      • Includes four targets and multiple types of bows
      • Session includes trained Glisson facilitators
    • Please contact us for instructions on how to schedule these activities.

    Other Programming Options:

    • Campsites, the Ball Field, and the Holland Building
      • You can reserve a campsite for roasting s'mores or having a worship service ... or reserve the Ball Field for playing large group field games.  And in case of rain or other inclement weather, you can request to use the heated Holland Building for indoor games and activities.
    • Lake Hale Amphitheater
      • The amphitheater provides a peaceful setting for worship and campfires on the banks of Lake Hale.
      • A fire pit was added recently to provide for evening fireside worship and group activities. The amphitheater accommodates 200+ campers during summer camp's opening celebration.
    • Cane Creek and Cane Creek Falls
      • Cane Creek Falls is a beautiful, cascading waterfall that offers a tranquil location to be still and appreciate the power of God's Creation -- located in Village Camp, a short hike from the Outpost.
      • Cane Creek meanders through both Village and Outpost
    • Please contact us for instructions on how to schedule these activities.
